| Safe Use of ECO Lift Outrigger Pads |
- When handling outrigger pads wear industrial gloves and “toe-tector”
type boots
- Remove outrigger pad from the stowage bracket/stowage position
- Ensure outrigger pad and is clean and free of debris before
use
- Check outrigger pad is the correct size for the vehicle/crane/platform
type
- Position vehicle on firm and level ground, as described by
the manufacturer of the vehicle
- Extend outrigger beams to the required distance of either
partial or full extension, ensuring the LMI (if fitted) is programmed
for the lifting configuration required
- Place ECO Lift outrigger pad directly and centrally beneath
the vertical jacks but be sure there is no debris beneath the
outrigger pad and it lies flat on the working surface
- Extend all vertical jacks to raise vehicle clear of the ground
making certain that the vehicle is level before lifting commences
- During lifting if there is any doubt as to the ground conditions,
i.e. movement of the vehicle, stop immediately, lower vehicle
to the ground and check ground conditions. If in any doubt seek
advice from a qualified person before re-commencing lift
- Upon completion of lift, close up vehicle and stow away outrigger
pad safely, ensuring it will not come loose during vehicle transit
- ECO Lift outrigger pads should not be used for bridging
