Events Co. Required Pads to Prevent Pavement Damage

Challenge

The Events Structure is the UK’s only single source provider of exhibition trailers, roadshow trucks, mobile promotion vehicles, shipping containers and inflatable structure displays. The company provided some stylish upcycled shipping containers to Westfield London shopping centre, as part of L’Oreal’s launch campaign for its Studio Pro hairstyling products. The Events Structure required a lightweight yet strong product that could support the containers and prevent any damage to the paving outside Westfield.

Solution

Outriggerpads supplied The Events Structure with its Eco Lift 400x400x40 spreader plates. They weigh just 6.3kg each but have a 12 tonne load capacity. Manufactured from high density polyethylene (HDPE), the water- and corrosive-resistant pads hold their shape under extreme vertical pressure and can adapt to the contours of the terrain. They are also a lighter weight than many equivalent pads made of metal or wood.

Outcome

The pads comfortably supported the containers and ensured that the paving remained free from damage. Due to the lightweight and compact nature of the pads, The Events Structure has shipped them for events outside of the UK. This included supporting four of its experiential shipping containers for MasterCard in Milan for an event to celebrate the Champions League final, for which MasterCard was a sponsor.
